Product Overview
Our industrial flexible air ducts are designed for HVAC air distribution, ventilation, exhaust, fume extraction, and OEM equipment air routing. The duct construction combines a flexible inner membrane with a spring steel wire helix to provide controlled flexibility and structural support during installation.
Depending on the application, available constructions can include aluminum-based, PVC-coated, TPU, silicone, insulated, and other material configurations. Material selection should be based on operating temperature, conveyed media, pressure or vacuum conditions, abrasion requirements, installation environment, and applicable safety requirements.

Product Configuration and Construction
The duct structure can be configured according to the intended operating conditions and material requirements.
Inner Liner: Available constructions include aluminum foil, PVC-based materials, TPU, silicone, and other application-specific materials. The selected liner determines the duct temperature, abrasion, chemical, and environmental compatibility.
Spring Steel Wire Helix: A formed spring steel wire reinforcement supports the duct wall and allows the duct to bend around equipment, structures, and other installation obstacles.
Insulation Layer: Insulated versions can incorporate a fiberglass or other thermal insulation layer to reduce heat transfer and help control condensation where the duct passes through unconditioned spaces.
Outer Jacket: Depending on the construction, the outer layer can provide mechanical protection, moisture resistance, or vapor-barrier functionality.
Connection Options: End configurations can be adapted for clamps, collars, flanges, or other connection methods according to the installation requirements.
Key Features
Flexible Installation: The spring-supported construction allows the duct to follow curved installation routes and connect equipment positioned at different angles.
Structural Support: The wire helix helps the duct retain its cross-sectional shape during normal handling, bending, and specified operating conditions.
Application-Specific Materials: Different liner and jacket materials are available for temperature, abrasion, moisture, static-control, and other application requirements.
Insulated Construction: Insulated versions are available for applications where thermal transfer and condensation control are considerations.
Compact Packaging: Flexible ducts can be compressed for packaging and transportation. The actual compression ratio depends on duct construction, diameter, length, and packaging configuration.
Custom Configuration: Diameter, length, material construction, insulation, reinforcement, and outer marking can be customized subject to production requirements.

Applications
Commercial HVAC and Ventilation: Used for supply, return, exhaust, and equipment connections in commercial and institutional ventilation systems. The appropriate material and construction should be selected according to airflow, temperature, installation conditions, and applicable project requirements.
Industrial Exhaust and Fume Extraction: Flexible ducting can be used to route exhaust air, process fumes, and other non-liquid air streams where the selected duct material is compatible with the conveyed media and operating conditions.
Dust Collection and Workshop Ventilation: Heavy-duty constructions can be configured for selected dust and particle extraction applications. Material selection should consider particle size, abrasion level, airflow, pressure or vacuum, and the required service conditions.
OEM Equipment: Flexible ducts can be integrated into drying equipment, environmental chambers, ventilation assemblies, agricultural equipment, and other machinery requiring flexible air routing.
Equipment Connections: Flexible sections can be used between fixed ductwork and equipment to accommodate installation geometry and equipment movement where permitted by the system design.
Manufacturing and Quality Control
Production processes are selected according to the duct material and construction, including film or fabric preparation, lamination or bonding, spring-wire forming, helical winding, cutting, end finishing, and packaging.
Quality control can include the following procedures:
Incoming materials can be checked for relevant properties such as thickness, dimensions, appearance, and material identification according to the applicable specification.
Finished duct dimensions, wire spacing, wall construction, insulation thickness, and other specified characteristics are checked against production requirements.
Bonded or laminated areas are inspected according to the applicable material and production process.
Selected products can be evaluated under specified pressure or vacuum conditions where such testing is part of the product specification.
Diameter, length, wall construction, and other critical dimensions are checked during production and final inspection.
Production records can be maintained according to the manufacturer internal quality-control and traceability procedures.
